It would be wrong of us to claim that drinking beer is an efficient way to rehydrate in a heatwave. Just as it would be wrong of us to claim that we had somehow planned the SALT Beer Factory Meet the Brewer Event on the 2nd hottest evening in Ricky since Adam (Eve’s fella, not Atkinson) was in shorts. But when serendipity comes knocking, we always say “Come in”!

And so, it was on last Monday evening that the Wishful “Desert Rats” ignored the temperature and decided that SALT was the best solution to the heatwave. Starting off with a full clear cold refreshing pint of Pils and moving up through the gears* via a 7% dry hopped bock, 8% tart tropical DIPA and a 10% nutty caramel imperial stout Tim from SALT gave us the perfect range of thirst quenchers.

We are not going to predict the temperature on Monday 8th August when Wild Weather will be joining us for our next Meet the Brewer Evening but we can guarantee a superb lineup of beers, lively banter, beery learnings and a bit of nosebag. Spaces are strictly limited as ever so please book you tickets EARLY!! Usual format, gather from 7:30 pm for an 8 pm start. Tickets will be £20.
