Let’s not pretend or pontificate. Everyone – that’s all of us – love and can’t resist a bargain. So here it is without any further delay the next of our Managers Special Brews!! And it does not get any better than this as it’s the perpetually palatable PUPA 4.5% from Vibrant Forest.

Pupa is built to sit between East and West Coast styles of American IPA. Both aroma and flavour swell with a deep hit of light citrus and ripe tropical fruits. Oats create a full yet smooth mouthfeel and the fruity yeast strain lends a soft stone fruit flavour to the finish. A Wishful favourite since our opening, due to the skill and unrivalled diligence of the wonderful Wishful Head Buyer this juice bomb, which is normally priced at £6.70 a pint, is on the pumps as you read this for just £5.50 or £19.80 for a 4-pint Growler refill!

Now we have got that out of the way let’s indulge ourselves and look forward to some of the upcoming changes that we can expect (if the data co-operates) as lockdown restrictions are lifted. So, a couple of dates for Wishfullers to consider

• Monday 29th March – Hoorahh! Up to 6 people or two households can meet outdoors, so this is a great chance for friends and family to catch up and hang out again! It’s never too cold for a Barbie is it? Or for the energetic Wishfuller we have some of the best walks and rambles available inside the M25 and all that activity just creates a thirst. So why not pop in to see us for your urgent, vital supplies. We have around 200 bottles and cans in stock, six draft craft beers and ciders on tap plus cask ale at weekends.
• Monday 12th April – the pavement licence application is with TRDC and subject to the necessary approvals we will have tables and chairs in the suspended loading bay in front of WD that will look something like this Image

We will keep you up to date with developments, but we anticipate that we will be using some sort of booking or reservation system (nothing too complex or heavy trust us) as space outside will be quite limited. Then in the middle of May when we hope to be able to welcome you back inside the bar as more social distancing measures are relaxed. Watch this space as we head towards hoppy happiness!
