One of the beers we hope to feature when we move up to 8 craft lines will be a new collaboration brew with our very good friends at Lock 81 Brewery. This will be an exclusive brew to Wishful Drinking available in keg and can.

We are delighted to be working with Lock 81 who are one of our leading local exponents of craft brewing. We are lucky to have many excellent local brewers. However, we wanted our first collaboration to be with Henry at Lock 81 because of his love and dedication to modern craft beer. 

So what’s it gonna be?

Needless to say, the brief was to create a unique blend of Deya, Verdant and Pollys with a splash of Arbor, Cloudwater and Neon Raptor throw in. Then make it better than that. So, we are shooting for a juicy, hazy, hop bomb of a New England IPA of 6 – 6.5% ABV featuring the exciting new Talus hop. Talus delivers big aromas of pink grapefruit, citrus rinds, dried roses, pine resin, tropical fruits and sage. The bold flavour profile draws from its roots as a cultivated daughter of the Sabro hop.

We have the working name of “Wishful Wonderjooze” but would be open to suggestion to improve and will offer a free growler of Sumo or Native to the Wishfuller who comes up with a better name (which should not be difficult).
