Well, here we go again Wishfullers… let’s get ready to Lock Down!

And for those of you who experienced Lock Down 1 with us here at Wishful the good news is you will be fully familiar with how the next month is going to pan out. But for those of you with weakening or hazy recall lets recap on what to expect at WD as we fight the spread of this disgusting disease…

The future of craft beer in the UK is in doubt following a Government decision to increase tax rates for hundreds of small breweries in the midst of the greatest financial crisis (precipitated by the Pandemic) the sector has faced in modern times.

Norway is a land of myths and legends. Its overdeepened valleys are flanked by the towering, petrified remains of warring troll clans, caught mid-battle by the cresting dawn and turned to stone. A monstrous sea beast terrorises its coastline. There are tales of tribal gods and undead superhumans who can swim through solid rock…

So it’s over for another year and we say Goodbye to Oktoberfest until next September.

But what a fabulous couple of weeks we had sampling the sheer variety of classic German beers from the fridges.  This allowed Wishfullers a glimpse of a different style of beer excellence that is a long way from the hop forward juicy and rich Pales and IPA’s we all love so much at Wishful…
