With Christmas and New Year well behind us it’s onwards and upwards with a full calendar of tastings and other events in January and beyond.

And so it is with great pleasure that we can confirm that on Monday 24th January we will be joined by Paul McTernan from the blissfully brilliant Brew By Numbers for our first Meet the Brewer event of 2022. We will be tasting nine BBNo. beers – three on keg and six in bottle/can and we will be tucking into some light buffet food to help balance the brews. Tickets are just £20 and are strictly limited on a first come first serve basis.

But that’s not all… next up on Tuesday 25th January (Yes, the next day!) it’s our Burns Night Whisky and Beer Pairing Evening. We will be tasting four Scottish beers with four Scotch Whiskies (Highland, Island, Speyside, Lowland) all expertly selected to highlight that whisky and beer go hand in hand, not only because whisky starts off life in much the same way that beer does (i.e. from fermented grains). The flavours of certain beers can pair really well or contrast brilliantly with whisky, and the result we believe will be an incredibly interesting tasting experience. One of our very own – Scotty Parker – will be addressing The Haggis (Burns 1787) and there will be Scottish Oatcakes and cheese for the more peckish. Again, Tickets are just £20 and are strictly limited on a first come first serve basis.
